At The Beach

My visit to the beach today marked the first time I've seen the Atlantic Ocean since I was just four months old. Those oceans are scary, chasing you away like that! But I do enjoy digging in the sand, and the water in Charleston is pretty warm compared to water in Boston and Los Angeles.

In the end, I was sad to leave. I hope we go back to the beach!

Welcome to Charleston

We made it to Charleston and, wow!, my new home is exciting. I am sleeping in a water bed, and living with a bunch of other people including my good friend and tiny human, Aris. We met back in Utah, and although she is bigger now, she is still about the same size as me!

Sonny & Aris Again

Aris points at me and says "doggie" and feeds me pieces of her banana or sandwich or cookie (I'll eat anything!). She doesn't even mind when I nibble on her shoes. I think I really like her.

She's cute, right? Hopefully, she'll learn how to say "Sonny" before we leave.

Sonny In South Carolina

Our second to last day on the road took us all the way from Missouri to South Carolina. It was a very long trip, starting early in the morning and ending late at night!

One of the highlights of the trip was at a gas station in Tennesse where I saw my very first pumpkin. That was pretty cool and it smelled so yummy! Too bad I couldn't eat it for lunch.

When we finally arrived in Greenville, I was sleepy, but I perked right up when dachsunds Sydney and Mayday met me at the door of their house! I wasn't too sure if I liked them at first, as their barks were so high pitched! But we ended up playing together and having a good ol' time.

I love other dogs! I hope I have a puppy brother someday...sigh. I'm excited to get to my new home tomorrow!

Sonny In Wyoming and Nebraska

We left the hotel bright and early today, to make the drive from Wyoming all the way to Missouri. We took a break to eat and run around at a rest stop right on the Wyoming/Nebraska border. The best part was the really cool playground!

After that stop, we drove and drove some more. I got really tired of the backseat! But that is how it goes when you're a roadtrippin' dog.

The trip took us all the way through the entire state of Nebraska.

Out final destination was Kansas City, Missouri. Can't wait until tomorrow when we get to South Carolina, home of my doggie friends, Sydney and Mayday!

It's Moving Day! It's Moving Day! Hey, Baby, Hey.

Today, my family and I left Utah on our way to moving to South Carolina. I got packed in the backseat with my blanket, my bed, my stuffed dog, and my tennis ball. I got hooked to the seatbelt with a harness, then rode and rode and rode and rode.

Backseat Baggage

I whined a little and slept a lot and finally we got to a motel. The dog-friendly Super 8 hotel in Rawlins, WY charged a $10 pet fee, which seemed pretty cheap to me.

Cheap & Thirsty

I drank water from a plastic cup and sniffed every inch of the room. It was so cool! But, I was worn out so I went to sleep again pretty fast.
