Welcome to Austin
Well, we made it safely to Austin. With one stop in Georgia, and one stop in Louisiana, we made it here in three days. We had to take two cars, and I really missed Tom - I cried for hours wondering where he was! - but we all got here so I am happy.
We are temporarily staying at Candlewood Suites, an extended stay hotel in Northwest Austin. They allow pets up to 80 lbs (there is a weimaraner down the hall) and we don't have to be crated or anything to be left in the room alone (although my family has been nice enough to stay with me most of the time).
Still, since we are continuing to live out of suitcases, I am nervous that I might get forgotten if the people have to rush out of her. So I am playing it safe and spending most of my time in a pile of clean laundry. They'll have to pack those clothes before we leave, and then they'll have to take me with them!
Clever, huh?

Celebrity Dogs
Dogs of celebrities are getting pampered at this year's Sundance Film Festival. The royal treatment from Cesar includes fancy grooming and doggy massage. Man, I wish I was back in Utah. That is quite a life.

Down At The Dock
Today, I took a trip down to the Ashley River in Charleston to play and explore near the water.
Me and My Mom
The dock kind of scared me, because as you know, I am afraid of getting wet! But I got used to it after a while and ended up having an ejoyable time by the river.

We even ran into Tom's dad who had come over there on his lunch break. What a coincidence!
Just The Guys
I am still not a fan of water, but I definitely do love the chance to be an outdoor dog. Nature is awesome!

Downtown Charleston
We finally made it to downtown Charleston this weekend, a beautiful and very historic part of the city. Check me out on the cobblestone street!
We spent our time there walking down by the Battery, past the Market, and among the old homes and buildings. We did see lots of other dogs - Charleston loves its pups!
Charleston Waterfront Park
The thing that I found most exciting was the horses. I have never seen such a big, smelly animal before! At first I was freaked out and barked my head off, but then I calmed down when I realized that they were not just large dogs, and they were not going to bark back.
I was a long day with lots and lots of walking, but that's what I live for!

Happy New Year!
Hello everyone! After a very long vacation, I am back at Sonny's Dog Blog to update you on my adventures as a roadtrippin' dog. I have been pretty busy lately, but it is my resolution for 2006 to post on a regular basis (well, that, and to stop barking every time someone rings the doorbell).
I'll start with a picture of myself from last midnight, ringing in 2006.
Mmmm, bubbles! Don't worry...that was my only taste!
I'll be back soon!
