Howl-O-Ween

Tonight, my family took me to my neighborhood PetsMart for Howl-O-Ween, a pet costume party!



I dressed up as a bat, with a pair of construction paper wings taped to my harness. At first I wanted to get them off, but soon I was too excited to care. Many people at the event thought this was a great costume for me, especially since I kept wiggling around and flapping those wings!



There were tons of other dogs there and most of them had GREAT outfits on!



I made friends with a pug pumpkin and a hippie lab.





But the coolest costume was Darth Vader!



It was so much fun! I also got my picture taken and since I was so good, I got to pick out my very own treat. I picked a Greenie, a mint flavored bone that's good for my teeth. I can't wait until the next holiday!

Bored No More!

Haven't posted in a while because I have just been living the normal dog's life, sleeping and eating and running after the tennis ball once in a while. There was also a weekend where my mom was gone, but that was sad and now she is back, so I am much happier. Anyway, things are about to change around here - I am moving!

In about 2 weeks, my family and I will be heading from Salt Lake City, UT to Charleston, SC - a 2200 mile, 3 day road trip with stops in Nebraska and Tennessee (can you picture me at Graceland?) before settling in with some family for about six weeks. After that, we will be sent to a different as-yet-unknown location (the family is hoping for Florida but who knows?) for Tom to work for a couple more months until the giant, cross country trip we have been planning for the past year. I can't wait!

There will surely be a lot to write about with all the packing, driving, moving, and meeting people. Hope you'll all come along for the ride!

A Trip To The Vet

Yesterday, I had to go to the doctor to get my yearly vaccinations and check-up. When I realized where we were I got really nervous - I started to shake and my eyes got all bloodshot (a sign of stress in dogs!).

But everyone was very nice. I found out that I weigh 26 lbs now - that's up 4 lbs from last year (I may need to lay off the people food...). The doctor and nurse liked me a lot. They said I was in good health and that my teeth are in great shape. Hopefully everything will stay that way, so I don't have to go back again for another year! Although the receptionist did invite me back anytime to visit, get a pat on the head, and a cookie!
