Sonny in San Antonio

On Sunday, my family took me to see The Alamo in San Antonio, Texas. What a cool place! Pets aren't allowed inside, but since it's right on a main street, I could check out the exterior and get my picture taken!

We also visited the San Antonio River Walk, right across the street. Shops and restaurants line the San Antonio River, and leashed dogs are allowed to walk it right along with their human friends. Several of the restaurants allow dogs at their outdoor tables as well!

Sonny in Houston

I arrived in Houston, Texas for a weekend getaway on Friday - what a cool city! The humans came for some basketball and baseball events, but fit in a few dog activities for me, as well. On Friday, we got checked into our hotel - the very pet-friendly Baymont Inn in Baytown just east of Houston.

The first thing we did on Saturday morning was take a look at the Astrodome. They were having a rodeo there, though, so we could only see it from outside of the fence. Lucky for me, though, there was a PetSmart across the street! I got my nails trimmed and a fancy new collapsable crate to sleep in at the hotel. And a treat, of course!

Later, after I was all groomed and fed, we took a trip over to Minute Maid Field, home of the Houston Astros. I wasn't allowed in, but I was able to get my picture taken with one of the giant baseball that line the sidewalk outside. Man, I wish I could have taken that home!

On Sunday, we headed home, but not before a quick stop in San Antonio. Check out those pictures tomorrow!

Upcoming Roadtrip

This coming weekend, I will be visiting the great city of Houston, Texas. Kind of a last minute trip, but any trip is fine with me. I haven't done much but lie around the house, lately, so this is a fun surprise.

I'll take some pictures and teach you about Houston very soon!

Sonny's New Pad

Finally we have a permanent home here in Austin.

I don't want to be picky, but I really didn't like spending so much time in a hotel, even one that was pet-friendly. Too many people in the hallway, and too many reasons to bark!

Our new place seems nice. There are lots of dogs - a miniature pincher across the hall, a chocolate lab downstairs, and few chihuahuas scattered around the building. Should be fun! The best part, of course, is the new bed. I can go UNDER it again!



I love love LOVE under the bed! I've missed it for a long time because neither the Charleston water bed nor the Texas hotel bed had any way to go under. It is MUCH better than sitting under a silly end table.



I can tell I will be spending hours below that thing. Heaven!
